If you haven't been exercising, or think you are out of shape, you should start with easy walks around your neighborhood to get the kinks out of your legs. You can check your local Conservation Area or look on the internet for more strenous walks when you feel ready. In our area, the Sessions Woods Wildlife Management Area in Burlington, CT is perfect for a longer walk. It is a 3-mile loop on a gravel road which includes a boardwalk, a waterfall, an observation tower, and wildlife observation paths along the way.
